This library was a long time coming.
This was a library that kept being put off because there was no simple way to automate a way to make the files and the structure of the instrument folders was rather complex to work through. I knew it would take a lot of time to make this one work and I was not wrong.
This library took weeks of solid part time work to generate and tag all the files and sound previews, further complicated by the fact many instrument presets offer only a limited keyzone requiring having to pick through carefully and render out different previews for different instruments.
It was only after I completed the whole library and a few users tested it on macOS I discovered that the Philharmonik plugin is not M1 native compatible and does not work with macOS M1 based processors unless running in Rosetta Compatibility mode and it appears IK Multimedia have no plans to update this plugin.
I had to then redo the whole library again using SampleTank 4 which also supports the Philharmonik 2 library and this version does work with macOS M1 systems however it does not support the previous Philharmonik 1 instrument library.
So there are 2 library versions you can pick from if you want NKS supported Philharmonik library. The Philharmonik plugin version offers more presets with both Philharmonik 1 & 2 version libraries but does not work on mac M1 systems. The SampleTank 4 library version works on mac M1 systems but does not support the previous Philharmonik 1 instruments. Both libraries work with Windows.
There are options for each library or a discounted bundle option if you would like to have both. Each library creates a separate instrument entry in the NKS browser so you can easily select and browse the correct plugin version.
