NKS libraries are created with no affiliation to Native Instruments or the VST vendor. I am not paid, or even supported by Native Instruments or the vendors. Downloading and usage of any library is at the users own risk.

Payments are non refundable for change of mind, wrong product purchase or inability to make it work. A free downloadable version of all products is available to test with and if you have any issues you can Contact Us before purchase. 

While all purchases come with full support via email we cannot offer remote access or phone support and although we will do our best to help you out, there is no implied guarantee of lifetime support.

If you are satisfied with the free version then the paid version offers the same features and includes all factory presets. There is no guarantee that future versions of the Komplete/Maschine software will support these preset files or the current features.

Note that downloads and updates are currently unlimited but monitored for user download activity and may be limited if excessive download activity is detected. Inactive accounts (not logged in within 3+ years) may be archived. There is no guarantee that all libraries will be available for future download due to plugins becoming unsupported or other reasons.

If you have any issues with a purchase please be sure to Contact Us first. Raising a dispute or chargeback will result in your account being locked and will result in any past purchases being inaccessible. You acknowledge by agreeing to these terms and conditions that you understand these terms and will not raise a dispute before first contacting us for resolution. 

Users are not authorised to share or distribute the files with anyone else without the consent of Freelance SoundLabs. A lot of work goes into managing this project, hosting the files and writing documentation and I am also an active forum member helping out users. We can trace back libraries to the accounts they were downloaded from if found freely online and will suspend any accounts that are associated with sharing of libraries without notice. 

Account Creation / Mailouts

Upon checkout an account will be automatically registered for you to download your products. You cannot create an account manually, this is done automatically on checkout. If you accidentally checkout using a different email and need accounts merged simply use the contact form to explain your situation. 

Upon account creation you will be signed up to our monthly newsletter which informs users of the latest library releases and important updates and changes to existing libraries. This is only sent once a month. You can choose to unsubscribe from the sent emails or via your account. 

FAQ

How do these NKS libraries work, can they be used without/instead of the official plugin?

NKS libraries offer integration of a plugins preset browser and controls into Komplete Kontrol compatible keyboards and Maschine hardware via the Komplete Kontrol and Maschine software. You need to use these software applications that provide the NKS browser and you will also need a valid copy of the plugin or instrument expansion installed on your system. NKS libraries do NOT replace the need for the actual plugin / expansion.

Can these presets be added to the Factory Library?

Does this work with S Series MK1/MK2/MK3, M/A Series Keyboards and MK2/3 Maschine?

Yes these NKS presets will work with ALL the latest Maschine/Komplete Kontrol software and hardware including 3rd party NKS compatible keyboards.

Does this work with other NKS enabled keyboards? 

Yes these NKS presets will work with any keyboard that supports NKS compatibility

How does your NKS library compare to others I have found on the internet?

Well you get what you pay for. It is easy enough for people to save NKS files using Komplete Kontrol and put a library together but often what most libraries lack is proper design and attention to detail. In many cases, things like control templates are either just auto-generated, lacking proper layout or not all that intuitive and tagging can sometimes either be completely missing or not conforming to NKS standards. 

Another thing lacking is updates and maintenance. All Freelance Soundlabs NKS libraries are fully maintained to work on the latest versions of plugins and we aim to solve most issues within days. Feedback is very positive, just check our facebook page.

We have been designing and managing NKS libraries for 10+ years with knowledge in production and soft synths for well over 25 years and it is the generous support of users that helps us support more libraries so if you are looking for well designed and managed libraries that save you time and work how you expect, look no further. 

Some tags or presets are missing?

Tags are formatted to fit with the NKS standard as much as possible. This requires converting some tags or consolidating similar tags to improve browsing as much as possible so the tagging within a plugin library may not directly match the tagging in Komplete kontrol.

Due to the rather complex way some plugins presets are saved/converted to NKS there may occasionally be some presets that get skipped in the process.

If you happen to notice anything that needs fixing just let me know and I will try to get it fixed up. Donors will receive free updates to the preset libraries when these are pushed to the site so worth the time to report and ensure you are subscribed to the monthly mailout as updates and changes to libraries are broadcast via this mailout.

I’m having some Installation Issues.

I have sent a payment but haven’t received the download? 

You should receive an order confirmation with download links to download your libraries directly after checkout if your payment was processed successfully along with a confirmation email to setup a password for your account. Your account login is the email you used during checkout. If you did not receive any email check your spam folder or you can login to your account (or choose “forgot password” if you have not yet setup your account) and your downloads will appear in your account area. 

Emailed download links require you to login to your account and cannot be shared with other users. Downloads will also appear in your account > download area 

If you have not received anything or something has gone wrong feel free to contact me and be sure to include your checkout email address or copy of the transaction.

The “Add to Cart” button is inactive and I cannot add a library to my cart? 

Libraries you purchased already will either show “Owned” for single libraries or if the library has multiple options available for different versions, the one you own already will appear as inactive to prevent double purchases. 

If you find a library you cannot purchase and it is not listed in your account just contact us so we can investigate. 

I purchased a library but it does not say “Owned” in the store, instead it is saying “Select Option”?

Libraries that have multiple selectable options will not show Owned on the main page due to the fact there are multiple options within to select. What you will instead find is when you browse the options for the library, the options you own will show the “Add to Cart” button as inactive so you cannot purchase a library you already own.

A library I purchased some time ago no longer appears in my download area or downloads only a text file? 

Some libraries that were created for plugins that are no longer being updated by the developer or for older VST2 plugin versions may be removed from the site as VST2 is no longer being officially supported by Komplete Kontrol or most DAWs. In most cases there is an upgrade path to a VST3 version of the library but in other cases the library is removed as it is no longer being maintained or supported. In special cases only we can re-supply your download but be aware some old archives may no longer be available at all. 

Can I get other VSTs or preset library’s created as NKS? 

Please offer your suggestions as I am always looking for new plugins to support. In order to add support I need to own the plugin or instrument library legally (no I will not accept cracked or shared licenses) and will seek out plugins to purchase or contact developers directly to help assist with access to their plugins. 

While I am open to any suggestions it is not always possible due to cost, lack of overall interest etc but I recommend offering your suggestions as every suggestion is logged and the more suggestions for a plugin/library the higher the chance it will be considered.  

Can I please have the script you use so I can make my own? 

Sorry it’s just not possible as I don’t use a single process to make NKS libraries, every instrument has a different process and some are done almost purely by hand tho I find ways to automate the process as much as I can, there is simply no magic solution to make NKS files due to the vast differences in how plugins store their information and each plugin is done using custom methods that work for each plugin.

I am looking at purchasing a large number of libraries, do you offer a discount? 

The site will automatically apply certain discounts for upgrades, crossgrades and some bundled libraries. You can always contact us if you want to request any further bundled libraries for larger orders. Note that some already bundled libraries come with heavy discounts applied and do not attract further discounts but can be used as inclusion to attract some discounts for other libraries. Discounts are considered on an order-by-order basis but more than happy to accomodate bulk library discounts. 

I don’t see the discount after I add to cart? 

If you are eligible for a discount based on a previous library purchase or a bulk purchase of qualifying libraries you will see the discount applied in the cart and checkout (not the quick right side popup cart). It will display a banner message with the discounts applied and show a discount amount in the sub total area of the order.  

Notice on Raise of Disputes / Refunds

Although refunds are not offered for change of mind or incorrect purchase / cannot get it to work cases, Please contact me before attempting to raise any dispute or file a claim with your bank since this is almost always denied from your card provider or PayPal if you have not first reached out for assistance.

Note that if you submit for refund with your bank or paypal your account will be locked and no longer accessible until a resolution is reached and for “false claim” cases you may find your account permanently locked out so please be sure to reach out if you have any issues.
