The Free Download Version contains a handful of presets to test how the NKS installation and compatibility will work. You can download and install this for free to test things out before purchasing the full NKS library.

Presets are fully tagged with sound previews and support browsing and control from the Komplete Keyboard or Maschine Controller. Banks allow selection of each kits presets.
Kits load as single stereo output kits and while it is possible to create a library version with custom multi-output mapping, there are currently no plans to do this due to the inadequate Host Automation abilities of this plugin, see below note…
NOTE ON CONTROL: There is no control possibilities with MODO Drum because IK Multimedia failed to implement any Host Automation control which makes any hardware control impossible. While this is extremely strange from a design perspective these days, there is nothing I am able to do about control for this plugin. NKS offers browsing, preview and loading of sounds but cannot offer any control unless IK update this plugin and implement Host Automation abilities. While I have posted a request for this on the IK forum HERE I do not hold any faith they will bother to update this. If you are looking for a drum plugin with good control capabilities, use the tag filters on this site and consider options such as XLN Audio Addictive Drums or ToonTracks Superior Drummer which both have NKS libraries available here.

This NKS library is developed with no affiliation to Native Instruments or the plugin developer for personal use only. This library is NOT a VST plugin instrument and will not operate as such in your DAW. It is a “NKS Compatibility Library” designed to work with the listed plugin within Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol and Maschine for the purpose of browsing, loading and controlling presets from the plugin within the Komplete Kontrol / Maschine software.

Details on requirements are listed above and this includes the need for the full up-to-date version of the listed plugin to be installed as a VST3 available plugin. If expansion content is listed above, this also has to be installed in addition to the full version of the plugin. A downloadable demo version of the NKS library is available to test and ask questions before purchase along with downloadable instructions.
While every effort is made to ensure libraries are accurate and work reliably on both PC and Mac and all purchases come with full support via email there is no guarantee it will work perfectly for all users or with updated versions of any software.
